Calvary Lutheran COVID-19 response
UPDATE June 20, 2019: The last three months have been a trying time for all people as our regular routines and gatherings were changed or put on hold. We give thanks to God that recent developments in the COVID-19 pandemic in New Jersey are allowing for larger indoor meetings. As we thank God for his care and providence, we continue to seek his mercy and shelter from illness and pestilence. Calvary Lutheran is taking steps to ensure that all parishioners and visitors are kept safe during this time of transition back to in-person worship. Please see the recent letters below that detail our plans for returning to in-person worship. Currently, worship times are at 8:30 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. to easier facilitate physical distancing within our sanctuary.
Please contact the church office if you would like to reserve a spot for worship at either worship service.
May the Lord continue to guide and bless you, our congregation, and our elected leaders with faith and with wisdom.
As of March 21, 2020: Calvary Lutheran has suspended all public worship, Bible studies, fellowship gatherings, and other meetings at the church. Our preschool has temporarily suspended operations as well. The weekly Alcoholics Anonymous groups is also currently suspended.
Unfortunately, we do not know how long this pandemic will last, so it is not possible to say when our church, our preschool, or the AA meeting, will resume normal operations.
Please see the documents below for resources that may help you and your family with your spiritual care needs. If you desire a visit from the pastor for counseling, for confession and absolution, or for Holy Communion, please contact the church.
May God bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, and may he turn his face towards you and grant you his peace. Amen.
