Hello! It is my joy and honor and privilege to be in Medford, NJ and to serve as the Pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church. I come here all the way from Phoenix, Arizona, but not without a few stops in between. Growing up in Phoenix I attended Atonement Lutheran Church in Glendale, AZ and Christ Church - Lutheran in Phoenix. For my undergraduate years I chose Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, and graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Political Science. I was a member of the Air Force ROTC program at Notre Dame University (Det. 225) and joined the Air Force in the summer of 2005. I served in Vandenberg AFB, CA, Minot AFB, ND, and Schriever AFB, CO, as a student, a nuclear missile launch officer, and a satellite operations payload specialist and crew commander. I left the Air Force in 2012 and followed God's calling to Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO to begin my journey as a church worker. I graduated from Concordia Seminary in 2018 and was called to be the pastor at Calvary Lutheran in Medford. My wife, Laura, was a Lutheran High School teacher in Jackson, Missouri, and I met there during my "student pastor" year. We were married in the summer of 2018 and moved to New Jersey shortly thereafter.
Our hobbies include exploring Philadelphia and going to the shore. My hobbies also include astronomy and aviation. Having grown up in Arizona, I am a fan of Arizona sports, but I find myself cheering for the Phillies and the Flyers on top of that!
